Poor little Groot has Mange. We are treating him and in about 2 months he will be cleared and have his beautiful soft fur back.

Mikey was rescued from a local car dealership in Delray on 6/5/2020. We feel someone abused him.

He has tail trauma with a flaccid paralyzed tail. He also has urinary-fecal incontinence. This is the most important factor in regards to Mikey’s prognosis. He is on prednisone to reduce the swelling and inflammation for 14 days. Hopefully nerve sensation to the tail and area around the rectum will return.

An x-ray was done by Best Vet Animal Hospital in Boynton and the area where a vertebrae was missing or damaged assessed. Although a cat can live with a paralyzed tail, it can become soiled with urine and feces. Removal (amputation) may be recommended. Cats with urinary incontinence have a higher incidence of infection of the urinary bladder and infection of the kidney.

Prayers for this sweet 2 pound baby. He just wants to be loved and play like a kitten again. He didn’t deserve to be hurt. Kittens are very resilient so Mikey now has a chance to recover and be loved.

Today, Tom was surrendered to be put down, as the owner did not have the monies for his surgery of $946. Tom has a blocked urethra. We couldn't let this happen, ever!
